Wellbeing_mountains.jpg“Breathing in God, Breathing out Worry”

There are so many ways of bringing calm and peace to our minds and hearts.  Christian Meditation does not only do this but also enhances our sense of wellbeing and mental health, heals us and blesses us.  A few weeks ago, at our staff morning prayer, beautiful Mrs Housler shared two sites which explain Christian Meditation beautifully.

“One of the things that is wonderful about Christian Meditation is that when you close your eyes, you are really in your own chapel.” Rev Douglas Crosby

I invite you to have a look at the following internet sites:  The first, a YouTube site, has heartfelt descriptions by children in Catholic schools who have found meditation helpful.

The second site gives details about the purpose and fruits of mediation and how it aims to ‘teach children to find stillness, silence and simplicity’.

The comments of the children are a beautiful invitation.  Here are a few of their thoughts from the YouTube clip.

“It gives you a quiet space to be with God and Jesus – you can do it in your house, your school and even in the park.” Zachary 10

“I like Christian Meditation because I can pray to God so all my problems will fly away.” Taryn, 11

“It gives you a quiet space to be with God and Jesus – you can do it in your house, your school and even in the park.” Zachary 10

“I like mediation because God talks to me” Addisyn, 6

“Christian Meditation is like going for a dive in heaven.” D, 9.

“I like Christian Mediation because you put all your worries aside and think that you are in a quiet room and nobody is watching you.  Be Still and know that God is right there beside you.” Emma, 10.

With Blessings and thoughts for a wonderful week.
