Family Prayer Night
It was wonderful to have so many families attend our Family Prayer Night last night. It was a peaceful and reflective evening exploring the gift of courage and how this gift enlivens our capacity to view We used a meditative walk to explore some thought-provoking quotes by saints. We also reflected on the message from Pope Francis’ new document, Christus vivit
“So often in life, we waste time asking ourselves: ‘Who am I?’ You can keep asking, ‘Who am I?’ for the rest of your lives. But the real question is: ‘For whom am I?’”. Of course, you are for God. But he has decided that you should also be for others, and he has given you many qualities, inclinations, gifts and charisms that are not for you, but to share with those around you.
Family Prayer Nights have become an integral part of our school term and are an opportunity for each of us to take some time out of our busy lives to focus on our faith both individually and as a community.
