Dear Parents and Carers,
I am pleased to share with you the plans we have for celebrating Mothers (and special women in our lives) Day next Friday. I know that some of you are disappointed that it is not a morning event but as explained last week, with COVID restrictions we cannot have an inside event and the chances of a freezing cold morning would mean an uncomfortable breakfast outside.
To celebrate this special day for 2021, we are going to have a “Pamper and Play” afternoon. From 3:30 until 4:00 pm there will be stations set up in the playground and hosted by our teachers. At these stations you play some games or engage in some pampering activities (have those finger nails ready to be painted). Whilst you are enjoying this special time with your child/ren, the dads (and special men) will be cooking a barbeque dinner for everyone. This will be served from 4:00 to 4:30 pm. There will be cold drinks, tea and coffee and music as well. There will be a digital form sent out tomorrow, calling for volunteers to help cook and serve the barbeque and also for families to say how many will be attending. This way we can ensure we have enough food to cater for everyone.
What a lovely way to end the week and to celebrate our beautiful mums, grandmothers and carers. We look forward to welcoming you all next Friday afternoon May 7th.
Enrolments for 2022
Next week begins our 4 week enrolment period for the 2022 school year. Our online enrolment application is now live and ready to be accessed! If you have a younger child ready to enrol in Kindergarten for 2022, please follow the enrolment link on our website to enrol.
We are having 2 official Open Days – Wednesday May 19th from 9am to 5pm and again on Saturday May 22nd from 9am to 11am. We can however arrange a tour at any time if you are not able to make these open days.
Yours in partnership,
Ursula Jamieson
Principal

The drive through pick- up area is only for cars coming through. If you are meeting your child after school, please meet them under the big tree in the playground and not at the car pick-up area.
The canteen will be running as normal this Friday!
Please consider your child may be extra hungry/thirsty after running the Cross Country.
Volunteers wanted!
Week 2 is well underway, and I have settled into the canteen.
It would be lovely if any parents/carers/grandparents have some time to come and help.
So if baking muffins and pikelets, serving the students and packing lunch orders sounds like something you would like to help out with, please contact me:

Volunteers for the School Garden
If you are interested in supporting the garden club, please contact Mr Ryan at Geoffrey.ryan@cg.catholic.edu.au. This may be joining the children at lunch time or helping with weeding and other jobs when available. Support with weekly tasks including weeding and maintenance will allow us to explore other possibilities in the garden.
Congratulations to the Baker family who welcomed a baby boy Axel Edward. Another little brother for Maddie Baker.
