Dear Parents and Carers,
And so another year is almost at an end. 2020, a year of challenges for not only our school community but the whole of the world. I would like to thank all our parents and carers for making St Thomas’ the the best it could be, considering what we have had to deal with this year. I admire the commitment you have to our school and for all your support and efforts in ensuring that we maintain the positive feeling that is so evident at this beautiful school.
I also thank the students, who are the reason why we do what we do. You show care, concern and kindness on a daily basis and with that, there is a good dash of humour. You are a great bunch of kids!
To our wonderful staff. I thank you for all your hard work throughout the year. You are certainly a dedicated and professional group of educators and support staff. A special thanks goes to our groundsman John Cousins. You have done an exceptional job ensuring the gardens are blooming and flourishing and that the maintenance or our school is always covered.
To all the families of our St Thomas the Apostle School Community, I wish you all a very happy and holy Christmas. To our departing families, I wish you a prosperous and happy future and to our returning families, I look forward to seeing you all again in 2021. Let’s hope and pray it’s a good one!
God bless

RE Week 10 - Be still and know that I am God
What a year we have had! It seems timely to finish the year with Christmas. There is a certain sense of stillness, hope, peace and joy when we look at the nativity scene. The image of a sleeping baby Jesus amongst the business of the world is so powerful. I don't know about you, but when I've held a sleeping baby, everything seems like it is going to be ok. The business of life seems to fade away and you are left to peacefully adore the sleeping baby.
In the last week we have seen the Year 6 students graduate and the Kindergarten children retell the nativity in such a beautiful way. As Christmas draws near, may we take some time to be still, spend time with family and reflect on the Christmas story.
