Dear Parents and Carers,
Last night was the first of our two nights of the Year 5/6 musical production of “Quest”. It was a fantastic night for cast one and we are looking forward to the same talent on show tonight, with cast two. A musical like this doesn’t happen without the hard work, talent and dedication of a lot of people and there are some people who deserve a mention.
A special thanks to our producers and directors, Anne Barbic, Geoff Ryan, Monique George and Natalia Ciuffetelli; to Zita Clifford, Anne Gowen and Lynette Wilson for backdrops, props and costumes; to Kaitlin Reedy for make up and to Maddi Barbic for backstage. “Quest” would not have been a success without your support.
And finally, to our wonderful, enthusiastic and talented students who did everything from acting, singing and the very important role of backstage crew, you are all amazing!
We only have three weeks of this year left to go! We have lots happening in that time – it’s going to be a full and enthralling end to this crazy year. Go gently over this time.
May God bless you and your families,
Ursula Jamieson

RE Week 7 - Be still and know that I am God
RE Week 7 - Be still and know that I am God
This week we focused on the story of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32). We learn that God wants to be close to us. He knows that we sometimes make decisions that take us away from His love. When we turn back to Him, he runs to us and fills our hearts with His love. Sometimes we judge the actions of others. We forget all the gifts we have and we focus on life as fair or unfair. At these times God challenges us to open our hearts and forgive like He does. God just wants us to love Him and to love each other. This takes great courage.
Reconciliation Retreat Day
Year 3 students had their Reconciliation Retreat Day on Friday the 20th of November. The students had a great day attending morning mass with the parish and completing activities about forgiveness and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We look forward to celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation next Wednesday and keep these students in our prayers.
