Dear Parents/Carers,
Sacrament of Reconciliation/ NAIDOC Mass
Last night our Year 3 students and their families led by Father Richard Thompson celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Congratulations to everyone involved particularly Penny Vanzwol, Trudie Riley, the Year 3/4 teachers and the Parish Choir. Thank you to everyone who came along and shared in the beautiful ceremony.
Special thanks also to Anne Barbic who attended the NAIDOC Mass last Friday with a group students. A deeply moving ceremony; Voice. Treaty. Truth. Let’s work together for a shared future.

Congratulations to Laura Vandenbroucke (Year 2 Class Teacher)! It was recently announced that Laura is to receive the Australian Catholic University (A.C.U) Louise Wellbourne Religious Education Award in September this year. Well done Laura! Our community is very proud of your efforts.
Fisher Family
As mentioned by Mrs Jamieson last term, we will be having a “Crazy Sock Day” on Friday 16 August to raise funds for Marleigh Fisher. For a gold coin donation children may wear crazy socks to school. There is also some information in this newsletter about a Charity Ball being organised as a community fundraiser for Marleigh.
Thank you for your continued support,
Many blessings

It is a great opportunity for children to play with others in a warm and nurturing environment and for the adults to make new friends.

A Starry Night Charity Ball
A Starry Night Charity Ball is being organised to raise funds for a support dog for Marleigh Fisher, who is the little sister of Thomas and Campbell Fisher. The funds will go towards adopting a specially trained seizure dog which can sense when an attack is imminent and alert her family.
Marleigh is only three years old. In her short little life, she has already battled a severe and exceptionally rare form of genetic diabetes, severe progressive epilepsy that has become refractory (unresponsive to medication) and now, Autoimmune Encephalitis which is a serious, life threatening condition. This saw her airlifted from Canberra Hospital to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Sydney Children’s Hospital in July.
