Dear Parents/Carers,
It’s been a very busy week since our last newsletter. We’ve had Walk to School Day, the Election Barbeque and our Athletics Carnival. At all of these events, we’ve had a fantastic attendance of parents and carers. I think our adults are so pleased to be back and active in the life of the school. Thank you to those of you who were able to attend. A particular thanks to those of you who were able to help out on Saturday and giving up your weekend time. We had a constant flow of parents, SCC members, staff and parishioners cooking on the barbecue, serving the sausages, drinks and slushies. Victoria was in the canteen for the whole of the day making coffee as was Nige and Vicki Pearman who brought their slushie machine and donated not only their time but also all the supplies of cups and slushie mixture. It was very successful day, not only as a fundraiser but as a community event, showcasing to all who came to vote that we are a vibrant and welcoming community.
Today we had the first of our extra Pupil Free days. It was a busy day of teachers and staff working on planning and assessment and making up time that has been missed because of relief staffing shortages. We also spent the afternoon completing our Senior First Aid certificate. I appreciate your support for our staff having this much needed time.
We have a long weekend ahead, so I hope that you all get some extra time with your families and doing the things you enjoy most in life.
Yours in partnership,
Ursula Jamieson

As more new books are arriving it is wonderful to see students excited to borrow. A reminder that if your child/ren forget to bring their library books on their Library day they can return them to the returns box at any time during the week. However, there are a few students who are wanting to borrow but still have many outstanding loans. Please encourage your child/ren to have a look at home for any books that were borrowed and have not been returned. If you ever have any destroyed school library books (water damage, chewed by rabbits etc.) please send the book back so that it can be removed from the system, or take a picture of the school library barcode on the back and email it to me.
Thank you for the amazing book donations we have been receiving for the Library and to those volunteering to help cover books.
Borrowing days for next week:
Tuesday 31st May: K-2, 3/4J
Wednesday 1st June: 3/4C, 5/6KM, 5/6B
