Dear Parents,
Our School Swimming Carnival this year is to be held at Stromlo Leisure Centre on Friday of week 4 (26/2/2021). We are lucky enough to be heading to a brand-new indoor facility this year. Students in Kindergarten and Year 1 will depart from school at 10:30am. When they arrive students will have their recess, then participate in some structured pool games. All activities will take place in the infant's pool and splash park. The children will then dry themselves off, put on a dry shirt, depart the pool at 1:00pm and get changed into their sports uniform in their classrooms at school.
**All students will be given a wrist band to indicate their age and swimming capabilities. **
The aim of our swimming carnival is participation and enjoyment.
Children can wear their swimwear under their sports uniform to school. Please supply your child with a towel, thongs or sandles, morning tea, drink bottle and a spare t-shirt to travel to and from the pool in. Please ensure that all items are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
Pool admittance and return bus fares are covered by the Activities Levy. For the purposes of accountability, we prefer that all children return to school from the carnival on the bus.
Please note that parents and siblings entering the pool may have to pay an entrance fee. Parking is FREE at Stromlo though.
Please fill in a seperate form for each child. The permission forms need to be competed by Monday 15th February 2021 (Week 3).
